The Kiwanis Club of Kewanee celebrated its annual officer installation, honoring decades of service and leadership. Dave Kniker received the Legion of Honor for an impressive 55 years of dedication. Julie Landwehr, Gary Bradley, and Mary Jo Gibson were recognized for 25 years each. The club, under Immediate Past President Andy Dwyer, was presented with the I-I District Make A Difference (M.A.D.) distinguished club award, the highest level of recognition. Gary Bradley earned the I-I District Distinguished Lieutenant Governor award for his guidance over eight clubs in Division 17.
A moment of recognition was held as outgoing officers Andy Dwyer, Rebecca Baney, and Russ Hughes concluded their terms, each thanked for their dedicated service. Guy Gibson, lieutenant governor from the Geneseo club, led the installation of new leaders. The board now welcomes Paul Estes, Jessica Seiden, Julie Landwehr, and Pam Johnson. Beth Bognar transitions to Immediate Past President, with Renee Crabtree stepping in as President. Supporting her are Lori Christiansen as Vice President, Jodi Wall as Treasurer, and Angie Burford as Secretary. The organization looks forward to another year of service under this new leadership team.
The evening also launched the club’s 10th Service Leadership Program with The Builders Club at Neponset Grade School.
