In a heartfelt tribute to their parents, the Kuhar family has established a significant scholarship fund at Illinois Valley Community College. The $20,000 scholarship aims to assist students pursuing a career in nursing, a nod to the family’s dedication to healthcare education and their desire to alleviate financial obstacles for aspiring nurses. This initiative not only honors William and Eleanor Kuhar’s legacy but also invests in the future of healthcare by supporting the education of tomorrow’s nursing professionals.

“They recognized that many capable people too often are deterred from pursuing a degree in nursing because of the financial commitment required,” the family said and added, “they are pleased to support aspiring nurses in achieving their goals.”
