A Lacon man was arrested after backing into a Kewanee Police squad car while fleeing from police. Initially, Kewanee Police disengaged from the chase due to escalating risks but continued on the same route at a safer distance. They later discovered the suspect’s vehicle had crashed in Stark County. According to the Kewanee Police Blotter from December 13th, Davidson is suspected of aggravated battery to a government official/employee. Davidson has not been charged with battery at the time of this writing. A Jury Pre-Trail is scheduled for January 16, 2025, at 9 AM.
The state’s petition to deny pretrial release was granted based on information provided by his girlfriend. Davidson will remain detained at the Henry County jail.
