Reports are coming in to the National Weather Service for funnel clouds and landspouts in west-central Illinois this evening. Storms have developed roughly along a line stretching from Henry County southeast through the Wyoming, Illinois area. Observers in these communities have spotted brief, rotating columns extending from the ground into the air. The storms responsible for these funnels are expected to be short-lived. While landspouts are weaker than tornadoes, they can still cause localized damage and injuries.
