There was a large Police presence from Washington apartments to Fairview for a Kewanee man that resisted arrest and fled from the 800 block of East 2nd Street. A Henry County Deputy located William Pitzer, 44, near Washington Apartments moments ago and was able to get him into custody. Henry County deployed their drone over the area searching for the subject. William Pitzer is a registered sex offender living in Kewanee. Deputy Chief Michael Minx said there was not any danger to the public from Mr. Pitzer. We will provide updates as we receive them. Update – William Pitzer was charged with Restating and Obstructing Justice and transported to the Henry County Jail last night.
