On 10/15/2024 at 6:00 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of RT 34 & E 9th RD. (Meriden TWP) Juan Lopez-Hernandez (34) of Aurora, IL was driving his tractor-trailer south on RT 34 when a vehicle traveling north entered his lane and struck the back left tire/rim on his tractor causing damage. Jorge Rangel (31) of Mendota was driving north on RT 34 when he entered the s/b lane and struck the back left tire/rim of Juans tractor. Jorge was cited for improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid accident. He was released with a NTA.
On 10/16/2024 at 8:10 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop at 210 Waters ST, Streator. The driver Mark Kebsbach (37) of Streator was cited for disobeying a stop sign and arrested for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and cocaine, possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to LASCO jail and later released with a NTA. The passenger Shyla Knight (33) of Streator was arrested for an active LaSalle County FTA criminal damage to property warrant, violation of conditions of pretrial release and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to LASCO jail.
