On 9/30/2024 at 6:34 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle car Vs deer accident with no injuries in the area of E 18thRD & N 16th RD. (Otter Creek TWP) Aaron Kuykendall (37) of Streator was driving north on E 18th RD when a deer ran onto the roadway. He was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front end of his vehicle.
On 10/2/2024 at 7:16 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle car Vs deer accident with no injuries in the area of N 2553rd RD & E 2450th RD. (Manlius TWP) Jennifer Swanson (45) of Ottawa was driving east on N 2553rd RD when a deer entered the roadway. She was blinded by the sunlight and unable to avoid the deer, hitting it with the front end of her vehicle.
