    IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms are expected across the watch area today, and again tonight into Sunday morning. Very high rainfall rates of 2 inches or greater in a short time are possible, which could lead to flash flooding particularly in urban areas. In addition, with the potential for repeated rounds of storms, some locations could receive 2 to 4 inches of rain with locally higher amounts possible. With saturated soils from previous rainfall, these rainfall rates and rainfall amounts will lead to an increased risk for flash flooding.

On 11/14/2024 at 7:08 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of E 7th RD & N 12thRD. (Osage TWP) A 16 year old female of Minonk, IL was driving north on E 7th RD when she lost control in the intersection and struck a road sign. She was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident.

On 11/20/2024 at 6:23 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of RT 251 & N 19th RD. (Eden TWP) Joshua Krueger (43) of Wenona was driving north on RT 251 when he attempted to pass another vehicle. When he tried to get back into the n/b lane he lost control, struck a guard rail and overturned. Joshua was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident and use of unsafe tires. He was released with a NTA.

On 11/21/2024 at 6:18 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle car Vs deer accident with no injuries in the area of RT 71 & N 31stRD. (Rutland TWP) Reed Pezanoski (38) of LaSalle was driving north on RT 71 when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front right corner of his vehicle.

On 11/21/2024 at 7:32 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of RT 23 & N 2350thRD. (Farm Ridge TWP) Melissa Macias (24) of Streator was driving north on RT 23 when she lost control on the snow-covered roadway. Her vehicle entered the west ditch and struck a tree. She was cited for improper use of registration, expired registration and uninsured motor vehicle. Melissa was released with a NTA.
