WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon.

IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms are expected across the watch area tonight into Sunday morning. Very high rainfall rates of 2 inches or greater in a short time are possible, which could lead to flash flooding particularly in urban areas. In addition, with the potential for repeated rounds of storms, some locations could receive 2 to 4 inches of rain with locally higher amounts possible. With saturated soils from previous rainfall, these rainfall rates and rainfall amounts will lead to an increased risk for flash flooding.

On 2/12/2024 at 9:55 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle car Vs deer accident with no injuries in the area of RT 6 & E 509^th RD. (LaSalle TWP) Joseph Daraban (22) of Ottawa was driving east on RT 6 when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front left corner of his vehicle.

On 2/12/2024 at 10:39 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle car Vs deer accident with no injuries in the area of N 2703^rd RD & E 1779^th RD. (South Ottawa TWP) Joel Smith (36) of Ottawa was driving west on N 2703^rd RD when a deer entered the roadway and struck the right rear door of his vehicle.

On 2/13/2024 at 2:48 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Morrell ST & Shabbona ST. (Bruce TWP) Alanna Englert (34) of Streator was arrested for DWLS and transported to LASCO jail. She was later released with a NTA.

On 2/13/2024 at 9:52 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 71 & N 32^nd RD. (Rutland TWP) Sarafina McCoy (30) of Chicago, IL was cited for speeding 75 mph in a 55 mph zone.
