    IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms are expected across the watch area tonight into Sunday morning. Very high rainfall rates of 2 inches or greater in a short time are possible, which could lead to flash flooding particularly in urban areas. In addition, with the potential for repeated rounds of storms, some locations could receive 2 to 4 inches of rain with locally higher amounts possible. With saturated soils from previous rainfall, these rainfall rates and rainfall amounts will lead to an increased risk for flash flooding.

On 2/20/2024 at 7:09 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of E 4th RD & N 1851st RD. (Eden TWP) Vincent Gray (27) of Tonica was driving north on E 4th RD when he disobeyed the stop sign and struck a vehicle traveling east on N 1851stRD. Cheryl Hobneck (74) of Tonica was driving east on N 1851st RD when Vincent disobeyed the stop sign, striking the back right corner of her vehicle. Vincent was cited for failure to yield at stop or yield intersection.

On 2/22/2024 at 1:55 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 17 & E 7th RD. (Osage TWP) Micaela Moreno (50) of Streator was cited for speeding 71 mph in a 55 mph zone, uninsured motor vehicle and drivers license not on person. She was released with a NTA.

On 2/22/2024 at 5:22 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & RT 52. (Serena TWP) Michael Flavin (54) of Ottawa was cited for speeding 76 mph in a 55 mph zone.

On 2/22/2024 at 10:45 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Columbus ST & Main ST. (Ottawa TWP) Christian Lopez (28) of LaSalle was arrested for possession of methamphetamine less then 5 grams. He was transported to LASCO jail and later released with a NTA.
