On 4/14/2024 at 1:30 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of Rutland ST & Drew ST. (Rutland TWP) Eloy Contreras (19) of Plano, IL was driving south on Rutland ST when his vehicle left the roadway and entered the west ditch. His vehicle then struck a church sign, library sign, lions club sign, a bush, two tree shrubs and a wooden planter in the front yard of 1030 Rutland ST. Eloy was later cited for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed/accident, leaving the scene of accident vehicle/property damage, failure to report accident to police authority and DWLR.
On 4/18/2024 at 3:00 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & N 21st RD. (Farm Ridge TWP) Raymond Weber (55) of Ottawa was cited for operating uninsured motor vehicle.
On 4/18/2024 at 6:00 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of E 22nd RD & N 18th RD. (Grand Ridge TWP) Chad Wahl (39) of Streator was cited for speeding 76 mph in a 55 mph zone.
On 4/18/2024 at 2:59 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Stanton ST & N Park ST. (Bruce TWP) The passenger, Ty McCormick (29) of Streator was cited for possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle/passenger.
