On 4/25/2024 at 1:00 am LaSalle County Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of 9th ST & Pike ST, Peru. The vehicle failed to stop and Deputies pursued it for approximately 10 minutes until it pulled into the driveway of 719 6th ST, Lasalle where it struck a parked vehicle. The female driver later identified as Sinead Jones (32) fled on foot and was not located.
On 4/26/2024 at 1:41 am LaSalle County Deputies responded to 2643 RT 71 (Grand Bear Lodge) unit J3 parking area for an unresponsive male subject, passed out in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle. The male subject later identified as John Belmonte (31) of Houston, TX was arrested for DUI alcohol. He was transported to LASCO jail and later released with a NTA.
