On 04/27/24 at approximately 3:50 A.M. LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of IL RT 170 and N 21st RD (Brookfield TWP). Jeffrey R. Kofoid (28) of Ottawa, IL was driving south on IL RT 170 when his vehicle left the roadway and entered the east ditch. The vehicle attempted to exit the ditch back to the roadway but made contact with it. Jeffrey was later cited for improper lane usage, leaving the scene of accident vehicle/property damage, failure to report accident to police authority, and too fast for conditions.
On 04/28/24 at approximately 9:00 P.M. LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of W Etna Rd and Emerald Dr (Ottawa TWP). Robert J. Alvarado (81) of Ottawa, IL was driving west on W Etna Rd when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid the deer and struck it. Vehicle was drivable.
On 04/29/24 at approximately 8:22 A.M. LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Washington St. and LaSalle St. (Ottawa TWP). Clarence Sullivan (70) of Ottawa, IL was cited for improper use of electronic device.
On 04/29/24 at approximately 9:42 A.M. LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of LaSalle St. and Jefferson St. (Ottawa TWP). Carrie E. Kelley (50) of Columbus, OH was cited for improper use of electronic device.
