On 5/11/2024 at 9:45 pm LaSalle County Deputies responded to the area of Sandy Ford Bridge (N 18th RD Farm Ridge TWP) for two missing Kayakers. Dominick Coss (19) of Streator and a 15-year-old male were on the Vermillion River when their kayak overturned. A 17-year-old male of Streator who was also with them walked home and reported the incident. A short time later Dominick was located at home unharmed. After multiple agencies arrived to assist in an extensive search, the 15-year-old male of Streator was located at home unharmed. Dominick was charged with obstructing justice and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
