On 05/29/24 at approximately 6:20 A.M., LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two-vehicle accident in the area of US Route 6 and E 13thRD (Ottawa TWP). Jonah Lewis (23) of Joliet, IL was traveling w-bound on Rt 6 when he attempted to pass Unit 2 driven by Stephen Russo (53) of Marseilles, IL. Due to traffic, Jonah was unable to pass Stephen. Jonah was unable to slow down which resulted in a rear end collision with Stephen. There were no injuries reported. Jonah was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
