On 06/14/24 at approximately 7:42 A.M., LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with injuries in the area of US RT 34 and E 20thRD (Adams TWP). Kiley Mason (17) of Leland, IL was traveling east bound on US RT 34 when she fell asleep. The vehicle entered the north ditch and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its roof. EMS arrived on scene and transported Kiley to Valley West Hospital.
On 06/21/24 at approximately 8:43 P.M., LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of E 2351st RD and US RT 52 (Serena TWP). The driver, David Kennedy (71), of Ottawa, IL was cited for speeding 75 mph in a 55 mph zone.
On 06/21/24 at approximately 10:42 P.M., LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of E 29th RD and N 31st RD (Miller TWP). The driver, Gerald Flatness (53), of Marseilles, IL was cited for speeding 74 mph in a 55 mph zone.
On 06/21/24 at approximately 11:06 P.M., LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of N 30th RD and E 29th RD (Manlius TWP). The driver, Melissa Jackson-Budach (45), of Morris, IL was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
On 06/22/24 at approximately 4:20 A.M., LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of IL RT 23 and N 2350th RD (Farm Ridge TWP). William Waite (21) of Streator, IL was traveling south bound on IL RT 23 when he fell asleep. The vehicle entered the west shoulder then attempted to correct itself. While doing so, the vehicle crossed both lanes entering the east ditch striking a fence. William was cited for improper lane usage.
On 06/22/24 at approximately 12:04 A.M., LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of E 2089th RD and E 2153rd RD (Dayton TWP). The driver, Dylan Thomas (26), of Serena, IL was arrested for driving under the influence and driving while driver’s license suspended. Dylan also has a warrant out of LaSalle Country for driving while license suspended and four out of Kane County; one being for non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images and three for violation of order of protection. Dylan was also charged with aggravated DUI (previous suspension for DUI) and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon (possession of firearm with a suspended FOID). Dylan is currently being held at the LaSalle County Jail on his outstanding warrants and charges.
