On 7/8/2024 at 10:34 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle car Vs deer accident with no injuries in the area of N 30thRD & E 28th RD. (Manlius TWP) Linda Stirratt (72) of Ottawa was driving east on N 30th RD when a deer entered the roadway. She was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front corner of her vehicle.
On 7/9/2024 at 7:22 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of N 39th RD & E 13th RD. (Freedom TWP) Deeann Lohmeier (45) of Mendota was driving east on N 39th RD when a white colored vehicle traveling west entered her lane and sideswiped the drivers side of her vehicle. The white vehicle continued west without stopping and left the scene.
On 7/11/2024 at 5:45 am Lasalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & N 40th RD. (Freedom TWP) Christopher Burns (48) of Leland was cited for speeding 77 mph in a 55 mph zone.
On 7/11/2024 at 6:30 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 52 & RT 71. (Mission TWP) Jeffrey Burton (30) of Chicago, IL was cited for speeding 79 mph in a 55 mph zone.
