LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office Seize 100 Pounds of Cannabis during Traffic Stop

The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office busted a Rocky River, Ohio, man with 100 pounds of purported cannabis during a traffic stop on Interstate 80.  On March 31, 2024, around 12:15 AM, LASCO Deputies made a traffic stop on I-80 eastbound near milepost 92. They uncovered 100 pounds of cannabis inside the vehicle driven by 60-year-old James B. Redmond.  Redmond is charged with Cannabis Trafficking />5,000 grams (Class X Felony) and Possession of Cannabis />5,000 (Class 1 Felony). Redmond was transported to the LaSalle County Jail. The Public Defender was appointed, and his arraignment is scheduled for April 18, 2024, at 9 AM.  Redmond was advised of the pretrial release conditions.
