MACOMB, IL – The Macomb Arts Center has announced the return of their annual Battle of the Brushes fast-paint competition on Saturday, January 28th.
This year’s competition will feature new and returning artists, including the 2023 Celebrity Artist Couple – Roger and Lisa Ward.
During the competition, guests will be able to watch the artists create paintings in only 30 minutes, and then vote to determine the final round participants as well as the winning artist. There will also be refreshments available, a cash bar, music, fun and unique raffles, and silent and live auctions of art created during the competition.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the first round of painting beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 if purchased in advance at macombartscenter.org/events or mailed to MAC, PO Box 692, Macomb, IL, 61455. Tickets at the door will be $30. One free drink will be included for MAC members. No one under 20 will be admitted unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
