    Portions of north central and northwest Illinois and east central and southeast Iowa.

    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Macomb Bomber Girls Swim came in 3rd place at their home invitational on Saturday. Libby Hamer took individual medals with 3rd place in both her 200 IM and 100 Fly. Other individual point earners included Sam Johnson (200 Fr, 100 Fly), Juyda Blome (200 Fr ), Hannah Zhang (200 IM) Kat Gravitt (50 Fr and 500 Fr), Lila Sensor (50 Fr and 100 Fr), Abby Wallace (100 Fr and 100 Back), Corda Adkins-Covert (500 Fr and 100 Back), Mikaela Mwangong (100 Br), and Maddie Musser (100 Br). The 200 Medley Relay team of Wallace, Mwangong, Hamer, and Adkins-Covert and the 200 Free Relay team of Johnson, Musser, Mwangong and Sensor both earned 3rd place medals, and the 400 Free Relay team of Hamer, Zhang, Wallace, and Adkins-Covert took 2nd place honors.
