Macomb Celebrates Transit Expansion with New Buses and Minivans

SHARE NOW

The Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassador Committee marked an important milestone for local transit with a ribbon cutting on June 30. The City of Macomb Public Transit expanded its fleet, adding four medium-duty buses and four minivans to better serve residents in Macomb and McDonough County. These new vehicles, purchased with funding from the Illinois Consolidated Vehicle Procurement Program as well as state and federal sources, enable enhanced on-demand, door-to-door transportation. This expansion aims to increase accessibility for seniors, those with limited mobility, and the whole community. Learn more at cityofmacomb.com/public-transportation/.
