Macomb Man Arrested For Theft During Heritage Days

MACOMB, IL – A Macomb man was arrested for burglary Saturday evening during Heritage Days.

According to reports, Macomb Police officers were made aware that a burglary had occurred at a locked, enclosed trailer near Chandler Park during the Heritage Days celebration. A large speaker, which was being used as part of the festivities, was taken from the trailer as well as approximately $600 worth of alcohol.

An investigation was conducted and Mark Wiltermood, 46, of Macomb, was arrested and charged with Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Damage to Property. Wiltermood was housed at the McDonough County Jail.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
