Sheriff Adam Diss of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 34-year-old Michael L. Wilson. The arrest was made on February 22, 2024, on the 700 block of Peoria Street in Peru, by members of the US Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. Wilson was sought by authorities in LaSalle County on charges of possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of a weapon without a Firearm Owners Identification Card, both of which are class 3 felonies. Furthermore, Wilson was wanted in the State of Texas for the manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. Labeled as a fugitive from justice, Wilson is currently detained at the La Salle County Jail without bond.
