Memorial Hospital in Carthage is shining a spotlight on Diabetes Awareness Month with a special community health screening scheduled for November 12th. Attendees can benefit from A1c testing, lipid panels, body composition analysis, and vision checks—all designed to promote early detection and better health outcomes. Advance registration is necessary to secure a spot. Those interested can find out more or sign up by visiting mhtlc.org or calling Memorial Hospital directly. This initiative encourages residents to take proactive steps in monitoring their health and combating diabetes with the support of local medical professionals.

Memorial Hospital is inviting community members to participate in a preventive health screening event for just $25 per person. Included in this package are an A1C test, lipid panel, body composition analysis, and vision screenings. Fasting for 10 to 12 hours before the appointment is recommended for the most accurate results. After the screening, participants can enjoy a complimentary breakfast at the hospital’s Courtyard Café. Due to limited availability—just two appointments per session between 7:30 and 9:30 AM—early registration is advised. More information and registration can be found at MHTLC.ORG or by calling 217-357-6540.

“Diabetes is a lifelong journey, but it doesn’t have to be one you travel alone,” said Kayce Fuhrman, Director of Diabetes Services at Memorial Hospital. “Education and early intervention make a tremendous difference.
