    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in 30 minutes or less. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Moline Police Investigating Two Separate Suspicious Deaths on Wednesday

The Moline Police Department is investigating two separate suspicious deaths that were discovered on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Moline police responded to the 3300 block of 25th Avenue for an “unknown medical problem” at 9:41 AM and located a deceased male. Moline police responded to a second “unknown medical problem” at 10:37 AM in the 1800 block of 46th Street and located a deceased female.

The Moline Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is investigating both deaths and is being assisted by the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois State Police.
