A late-night accident on October 2nd along Illinois Highway 6 has claimed the life of a motorcyclist. Authorities in Bureau County report that just before midnight, a 2011 Harley Davidson traveling west left the roadway east of the I-180 overpass, causing the driver to lose control. Emergency responders arrived on the scene to find the operator had been ejected from the motorcycle. The individual was transported but was later pronounced deceased at OSF St. Clare by Bureau County Coroner Kurt Workman. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of the family. Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including local police, fire, and EMS teams.
