Adult flu shots and updated Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines are available on a walk-in basis, with children’s flu shots by appointment. Most with insurance or Medicare can receive these vaccines at no cost—be sure to bring your coverage card. The cost without insurance is $60 for the flu shot.

For appointments or more details, contact the Kewanee clinic at 309-852-5272 or the Toulon clinic at 309-852-3115. Additional information can be found on their website, www.henrystarkhealth.com. RaeAnn Tucker, Health Department Director of Health Promotion states, “Vaccination is particularly important for people who are most vulnerable to developing serious flu complications, including people with certain chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes and heart disease. In fact, last flu season 9 out of 10 adults hospitalized for flu had at least one reported underlying medical condition.”
