In a coordinated effort by Knox County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies, 38-year-old Ryan P. Loveless from Hilliard, Ohio, was arrested on multiple charges involving minors. On the evening of November 8th, Loveless was apprehended in a hotel parking lot in Danville, Illinois. He allegedly instructed a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old to meet him at the location to engage in sexual intercourse. He was found with his infant child, who was later safely handed over to family members. Loveless faces serious charges, including indecent solicitation and grooming. Sheriff Jack Harlan has issued an advisory urging parents to monitor their children’s online interactions closely. Loveless will await trial, maintaining the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
“Thanks to effective communication Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office, and Danville Police Department were able to work together to located Loveless in the hotel parking lot in Danville, IL where he was taken into custody. Loveless did have his infant child with him. The infant was turned over to family after a medical evaluation. No injury occurred to the infant. The identity of the infant will not be released.”
Loveless was taken into custody on the warrant, transported, and booked into the Knox County Jail on the following charges:
Indecent solicitation of a child (4 counts)
Traveling to meet a child (2 counts)
Grooming (2 counts)
Solicitation to meet a child (2 counts)
