One person is deceased and a second person is injured in a shooting Friday night in unincorporated Cambridge. Just after 6 PM on November 21, 2025, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call for an individual with a gunshot wound, in the 1000 block of Bowling Road. Deputies arrived to find a 26-year-old male and a 21-year-old female inside the residence, “both with apparent gunshot wounds.”
Deputies immediately started life saving measures until medics arrived on the scene. Cambridge Ambulance, MedForce, Coal Valley, and Osco Emergency Services arrived to assist with life saving measures and transport the patients to area hospitals.
Both victims were transported to area hospitals, where the 26-year-old male later succumbed to his injuries. The 21-year-old female is currently in stable condition.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and “there is no threat to the public.”
The Rock Island County Coroner’s Office is assisting with this incident. The identities of both individuals are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
