OSF HealthCare St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg is embarking on a significant construction project starting February 10th and is expected to span 12 to 15 months. The expansion will introduce a new Emergency Department waiting room, a streamlined registration office with clinical space, and two additional triage rooms. Six new exam rooms and a nurse station will also be part of the upgrades, designed to improve efficiency and patient flow. During the project, the public corridor linking the OSF Galesburg Clinic to the medical center will be temporarily closed. Officials emphasize their commitment to minimizing disruptions while maintaining safety and efficiency for patients, visitors, and staff.
“We are committed to minimizing disruption and ensuring that we maintain a safe and efficient environment for patients, visitors and Mission Partners.” said Kory Tinkham, vice president, Operations and Special Projects at OSF St. Mary.
