The City of Kewanee will be conducting its annual outdoor warning siren maintenance this Thursday, September 11th. Sheboygan Warning Systems, the company responsible for upkeep, will start operations at 8 AM, with work expected to wrap up by 4 PM. Residents can anticipate hearing intermittent siren tests throughout the morning and early afternoon. Officials stress that the sirens are meant for outdoor alerts during severe weather events and may not be heard indoors. Everyone is encouraged to stay updated on weather conditions and take proper safety measures. For more information, contact the Kewanee Fire Department at 309-852-2115.
