Peoria High School Soccer Squeezed in a Goal to Defeat Kewanee Boilermakers

The game was tied for the Kewanee Boilermakers against Peoria until Peoria was able to squeeze in a goal to defeat the Boilermakers soccer team on September 4th. Kewanee had 1 goal, and Peoria had 2 goals. Coach Bermudez said the game started out tough for Kewanee, but they made some adjustments and took control of the game with the goal of tying the game. Tyson Currie received a pass from Isidro Martinez and controlled the ball until he took a shot and scored. Kewanee remained in control of the game in the second half, hoping Alex Barron and Alonso Corral had chances to score. However, Peoria got one chance to score, and converted it into a goal, to win the game. “Kewanee lost, besides the defeat, boiler makers played really good.” They play tonight, September 5th, at home against Abingdon.
