Police Say Home Invasion in Galesburg Appears to be Targeted and Ask Anyone with Information to Call Galesburg Police

Around 4:30 AM on December 6th, residents of a house in the 800 block of East Fremont Street were awakened and tied up by two armed suspects. The two suspects were armed with handguns and entered the residence through an unsecured bedroom window. After tying up the occupants, they proceeded to steal firearms, cash, the family dog, and a vehicle. The vehicle was later found unoccupied on West Carl Sandburg Drive in Galesburg. Officers from the patrol unit and special operations processed the scene and began an investigation into the home invasion. The investigation suggests the residence was targeted by the suspects, according to the release from the Galesburg Police Department. There is no indication of a threat to the public at this time.
