Prairie Chicken Arts Festival brings art and music to downtown Kewanee on July 17th and 18th
Downtown Kewanee comes alive July 17th and 18th for the Prairie Chicken Arts Festival, celebrating art, community, and creativity for all ages. The fun begins earlier with the Shop Small Business Crawl, July 9th through 18th, plus student artwork in downtown windows, July 13th through 20th. The two-day celebration highlights local creativity with chalk art displays, a flea market, food vendors, kids’ activities, and live entertainment throughout the downtown area. Families can stroll, shop, eat, and enjoy the festival atmosphere while supporting artists and local businesses. Festival highlights include chalk art, a giant sand pile, a flea market, museum hours, food, music, shopping, and family activities. Friday features an art show sneak peek and a Jingle and Mingle dance party. Saturday brings the Guns and Hoses Breakfast, farmers market, scavenger hunt, kids’ activities, puppet shows, and winners announced at 4 PM.
