Khaji Bradley:  Khaji Bradley remains in custody of the Henry County Jail.  On February 3, 2024, Kewanee Police responded to a call to Lakeland Terrace for a domestic disturbance where Khaji Bradley allegedly struck his wife in the eye.  Khaji Bradley was in the home with their child when officers arrived.  Officers noted that the victim’s left eye appeared to be puffy and red, with a mark over her left eye, but the victim didn’t want pictures taken of her eye.  The victim was called to the stand bye Defense Attorney Lance Camp to testify.  The victim said that the report isn’t accurate and Khaji didn’t strike her and she didn’t have an injury.  The victim told the State that she remembers calling 911 and she thinks she said he may have hit her.  The Defense argued that the victim testified that the incident didn’t happen as charged by the State.  The State argued that “It’s not uncommon for victim’s to change their stories in domestic battery cases.”  Khaji Bradley is currently on probation in Henry County for domestic batter with the same victim.  Judge Patton found Probable cause an scheduled a Jury Pre-trial for March 14, 2024, at 9 AM.  Khaji Bradley is charged with Domestic Battery/Harm (Class 4 Felony) and Domestic Battery/Contact (Class 4 Felony).  Mr. Bradley wouldn’t stand up to be handcuffed so additional deputies assisted with standing him up to put handcuffs on.  Bradley said that him and his wife got into an argument, but “I didn’t do anything your honor.”  He yelled “I didn‘t do anything bro” multiples times.
