Patrons of the Princeton Public Library now have access to enhanced digital services, thanks to a $12,500 technology grant from the Illinois State Library. The library has introduced a user-friendly remote scheduling system, making it seamless to register for events and reserve rooms online. In partnership with the PrairieCat consortium, the library has also launched a mobile app, allowing for easy catalog access, account management, renewals, and even a digital version of your library card. The library also now offers Kanopy, giving cardholders free streaming access to thousands of films and documentaries. Director Julie Wayland says these updates aim to put library resources right at residents’ fingertips. More details are available at princetonpl.org.

“These new tools reflect our commitment to making the library accessible beyond our physical walls,” said Julie Wayland, Director of Princeton Public Library. “We want our patrons to have resources at their fingertips—whether that’s scheduling, streaming, or staying connected through mobile access.”
