This summer, the Princeton Theater Group has once again opened its doors for Camp 56, promising young theater enthusiasts a vibrant and educational retreat. Set to run from June 24th to July 5th, on weekdays from 9 AM to 3 PM, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, the camp offers a hands-on theater experience under the guidance of experienced directors Jenna Tremblay-Reilly and Reid Tomasson. Participants, from third graders to 2024 junior high graduates, will explore various facets of theater production, from acting to backstage work.

Camp 56 isn’t just about learning; it’s about performance. Young campers will shine on stage during the Festival 56 summer season, featuring in the chorus ensemble of “Urinetown” from July 11th to 21st. Beyond acting, the camp includes activities like song, dance, makeup, and costume design, plus special visits to festival sets.

With a camp fee of $125 and the availability of need-based scholarships and family discounts, Camp 56 makes theater accessible and engaging. Registration is open now, with forms available on the Festival 56 website. This program is supported by local groups and businesses, ensuring a rich experience for all attendees. Join Camp 56 and step into the spotlight this summer!

Registration forms can be picked up at the theater, by emailing [email protected], or on the Education tab of the Festival 56 website, festival56.com.
