Yorkville swept both varsity team titles at the Rock River Run in Sterling with scores of 38 in boys’ and 50 in girls’ competition. Judah Binger of Belvidere North claimed the boys’ individual crown, finishing the 5K course in 15 minutes, 39 seconds. On the girls’ side, Emily Downing from Cambridge led the field at 18:08. The Princeton varsity girls notched their best team placement in over two decades, taking 12th overall, highlighted by season-bests from Ruby Acker, Payton Frueh, and others. Among the boys, Augustus Swanson led Princeton, finishing 88th with a time of 18:59. Coach Patrick Hodge praised his team’s performances. “A very good day overall for us with a good number of season or personal bests.
