    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Heat impacts will be worsened by several consecutive days of sweltering temperatures. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

A 28-year-old Male From Triumph Died in Motorcycle Accident on Monday

A 28-year-old male from Triumph died in a single vehicle crash on July 10, 2023, in rural LaSalle County. The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office and the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office responded to a motorcycle accident North of 4405th and East 1251st Roads in Earlville for a deceased motorcycle occupant. Jacob J. Kirsch was identified by the LaSalle County Coroner as the sole occupant of the motorcycle. The preliminary investigation indicates that Mr. Kirsch failed to negotiate the curve in the road and lost control of the motorcycle.

The accident remains under investigation by the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office and LaSalle County Coroner’s Office.
