A 20-year-old Blue Island man was arrested on a warrant at his residence for Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a child by the US Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. On August 3, 2023, Devin B. Sprowls was charged with the Class X Felony after an investigation in Ottawa and rural Streator resulted in the warrant for Sprowls. Sprowls was transported to the LaSalle County Jail where he remains on a $150,000 (10%) bond. Sprowls was appointed a Public Defender and an Arraignment is scheduled for September 22, 2023, at 9 AM.
The Ottawa Police and the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office conducted the investigation.
