    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in 30 minutes or less. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Educators have a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of agriculture with the upcoming “Awesome Agriculture Week.” This specialized program, designed for preschool to high school teachers, runs from June 10-13, 2024, and offers a comprehensive educational journey through various farms and agribusinesses across six counties. Participants will engage in a dynamic curriculum that includes field trips, lab activities, and classroom instruction that integrates agriculture into everyday learning. Teachers can also earn graduate credits or professional development hours. The cost is $100 with a discount for Farm Bureau members, and spaces are capped at 30 participants. The deadline for applications was May 24th.
