The Bureau County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents to secure items in fields and in sheds on farms due to an increase of thefts of AG Products, such as displays and GPS receivers. Most of the thefts are from unoccupied machines and vehicles left in fields, farm lots and sheds. However, there has been an increase in thefts of other items from machine sheds. Call the Bureau County Sheriff’s Office at 815-875-3344 with any information regarding thefts from fields and farms. If you see suspicious activity, call the Bureau County Sheriff’s Office or your local law enforcement agency. It’s important to keep a record of these items with pertinent information, serial numbers and model numbers.
