The Granville-Hennepin Fire Protection District has issued a Burn Ban effective immediately until further notice for the entire Fire Protection District. This means no burning of any kind is allowed because of hot dry breezy conditions with little to no chance of rain in the foreseeable future.
Conditions are perfect for rapid spread of fire from flying embers. This includes all recreational fires as well. Charcoal grilling is ok as long as the charcoal is contained to a proper grilling unit, and it is not left unattended at all for any period of time.
Anyone found to violate the burn ban will be charged to the full extent of the ordinance. “We appreciate your cooperation”.
Authority, Granville Hennepin Fire Protection District, District Chief.
