Illinois Valley Community College opens its classrooms and labs for “Explore IVCC” from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Attendance is encouraged for anyone considering enrolling in spring.
Agriculture, early childhood education, automotive technology, welding, criminal justice, nursing, music, education, and electrical are among the disciplines represented. Student services represented include Learning Resources, Financial Aid, Career Services, and the Center for Accessibility and Neurodiversity. Representatives from the Natural Sciences and Business and Workforce Development divisions are also expected.
The free event for students and parents begins at 5:30 with a panel of current students sharing their experiences in the Dr. Mary Margaret Weeg Cultural Centre.
Deans and faculty will discuss majors and offer tours of labs and classrooms and counselors will be available to discuss academic programs. A Free, limited-edition IVCC T-shirts will be provided.
