LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office Make Multiple Warrant Arrests

LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office announced warrant arrests of three men by the members of the US Marshals Great Lakes Regional Task Force on January 9, 2023.  The Task Force arrested Michael M. McKinnie, 28, in the 1000 block of E. Bridge Street in Streator after a short foot chase through the area.  McKinnie is charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Failure to Appear Other Narcotic Amount and Failure to Appear on Fleeing to Elude Police.  McKinnie remains in custody on consecutive 1,000,000 (10%), $20,000 (10%) and $3,000 (10%) bonds.

The Task Force arrested Charles Spencer, 27, of Ottawa later in the day East of Streator on Highway 18 after a brief pursuit.  Charles Spencer is charged with Armed Robbery with a Firearm (Class X Felony) and Theft of 500-10K (Class 3 Felony) from an incident in Streator on July 7, 2022.  Charles Spencer remains in custody on a $250,000 (10%) bond.  Spencer indicated he intends to hire private counsel.  The First Appearance has been continued to January 19, 2023, at 9 AM.

Isaac Johnson, 31, from Streator was also arrested for Fleeing and Obstructing Justice.  Johnson is charged with Felony Obstructing Justice, Fleeing to Elude Police and speeding 35 MPH over speed limit.  Johnson is being held with no bond pending a hearing on January 10th.
