The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man following a shooting that occurred in Leland, Illinois. According to the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, officers received a call regarding shots fired in the 300 block of Grant Street in Leland. Officers arrived on the scene and found the victim, 32 year old Kami White with a gunshot wound. White was taken to a local hospital before being flown via Life Flight to Rockford, Illinois for further treatment. LaSalle County has stated that White suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound and that she is currently in stable condition. Meanwhile, LaSalle County deputies arrested 29 year old Jon M. Hurtig at the scene. Hurtig was charged with Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and Unlawful Restraint. Hurtig is currently being held without bond at the LaSalle County Jail.
