OSF Saint Clare Medical Center in Princeton Awards $4,000 in Scholarships


Four students were given a $1,000 Health Care Scholarship from OSF HealthCare Saint Clare Medical Center in Princeton to help with educational expenses. The $4,000 scholarships included three nursing scholarships and one health career scholarship. Kaia Robbins received the Harold Morine Scholarship. Kaia is a Princeton High School graduate pursuing a nursing degree at Illinois Wesleyan University and hopes to become a labor and delivery nurse. Toni Newton and Julis Vander Meersch received the Pierson Nursing Scholarships. Toni is a graduate of Hall High School and is enrolled at Illinois Valley Community College this Fall and plans to pursue a career in nursing. Toni is currently a CNA in the health care setting and looks forward to her future as a nurse. Julie lives in Arlington and is a nursing student a Illinois State University. She will be a junior this fall and actively seeks opportunities to advance her knowledge and expertise in nursing. Christian Rosario, of Princeton, received the OSF Saint Clare Health Career Scholarship. Christian will attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and major in Kinesiology.. He hopes to become a Physical Therapist.
