The Princeton Public Library is hosting programs numerous programs from October 16th to October 31st.

Saturday, October 14th, 10 am–1 pm Solar Eclipse
The Princeton Public Library will have a supply of safety lenses available to view the solar eclipse Saturday, October 14th, starting at 10 am. Eclipse enthusiast, Gerri Woodlief will be at the Princeton Public Library to help library patrons safely view the partial solar eclipse.

Tuesday, October 17th, 7 pm
Illinois Libraries Present: Food, Family, and Folktales—A Conversation with Grace Lin. Join Newbery and Caldecott honoree and New York Times bestselling author Grace Lin Tuesday, October 17th, at 7 pm for an engaging conversation about her journey to become an award-winning author and illustrator and earn about her latest middle grade book, Chinese Menu: The History, Myths, and Legends Behind Your Favorite Foods. Friday, October 20th, 2–5 pm
The Friends of the Library will host an appreciation social/reception in honor of Friends of the Library Week Friday, October 20th, from 2 – 5 pm. Come to the library to enjoy refreshments and visit with fellow Friends to learn all the ways our volunteers assist to make the Library a more vibrant asset in our community.

Thursday, October 26th, 6 pm
Princeton Public Library presents: A Poisoner’s Afternoon Tea with Dr. Niel Bradbury Thursday, October 26 at 6 pm. Take a journey with Dr. Bradbury from Victorian Afternoon Teas designed to elicit gossip, to the roles of teatime favorites like scones and Dundee cake in deadly murder.  Expect scandal, deadly doctors, and evenVincent van Gogh. You will never look at an invitation to afternoon tea in the same way again. A Poisoner’s Afternoon Tea is a unique combination of science, true crime, and murder mystery.

Saturday, October 28th, 12 pm
The Central Illinois Ghost Hunters Paranormal Investigation Group will be at the Princeton Public Library Saturday, October 28th, at 12 pm, to explain and demonstrate their gear, talk about how they ghost hunt, and tell some of their ghost hunting stories. CIGH is based out of Peoria, Illinois, and have explored famous properties, including Cambre House and Farm.
