Princeton Public Library Upgrades their Patron Interaction Software

SHARE NOW

Beginning February 1, 2023, the Princeton Public Library is upgrading the Patron Interaction Software and users will be able to try the new Vaga Discovery System while still be able to access the current system. The new software allows user to access accounts and offers an enhanced search ability of the Library’s collections from home or at the library. The upgrade will feature a more user friendly search function. The upgrade improves the ease of locating specific items and offers suggestions. Suggestions are based on algorithms that select similar genres, authors and popular alternatives based on the selections of other users.

Patrons will continue to be able to access their accounts. Cardholders can log in to their accounts, to see their checkouts, holds and reading history. Conveniently, they can renew items, check how long to expect a hold or scan their past favorites. Patrons can also change their notification options.

For more information, patrons can contact the library 815-875-1331 or checkout the website at www.princetonpl.org.
