“We really want to make sure that kids and adults alike are included in Quiet Fest,” Foundation Founder Dani Piland said in a statement. “We have lots of events that are for adults, some that are for kids, but few that are for everyone. The Nerf Gun Battle is a fun way to get everyone playing together, and there’s such a huge body of research about the value of intergenerational play.” Quiet Fest is the Foundation’s inaugural fundraiser, a two-day roving Arts and Music festival. Saturday includes a range of kids’ activities, including a painting party at the LaSalle Public Library 11 am – 2 pm; an all-ages drag brunch at Haze Smokehouse 11 am – 1 pm; a succulent planning workshop with Petals by Peyton beginning at 10 am; plus balloon animals by Randy Noy, face painting, and performances by youth musicians.
